DSC_8017Riverfest Elora 2015 has expanded to a full weekend of music, arts, food and culture. It will be held in Elora’s Bissell Park on Friday, August 14, Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16 2015.

The festival, held along the banks of the Grand River, has come a long way since its humble beginnings just seven years ago. Following the sold out success of the last year’s festival, which included performances by Blue Rodeo, Serena Ryder, Charles Bradley, Arkells and Dan Mangan, Riverfest Elora returns for year number seven with an extra third festival day! This means more food trucks, more arts and craft vendors, more community and of course, more music!

Three-day weekend passes are now on sale at Ticketbreak for $140.00 plus taxes and fees, day passes are available for $60/Friday, $80/Saturday and $60/Sunday. Tickets can also be purchased at several retail outlets including: Elora @ Ashanti Cafe, Fergus @ Van Gali’s Cafe and Inn, Guelph @ Bread Bar and Kitchener-Waterloo @ Orange Monkey Music.

Riverfest Elora is the town’s annual celebration of community and music.. Ice Jam, Riverfest Elora’s winter music festival, will return to Elora for its third installment in March 2016.

Over the years, Riverfest Elora has brought an impressive RiverfestSaturday_CeliaMoase-107array of musicians to the small town.  Past artists include those mentioned above as well as Blue Rodeo, Serena Rider, Dear Rouge, Charles Bradley, Bahamas, Elliott Brood, Young Galaxy, Ashley MacIsaac, Born Ruffians, Rich Aucoin, Cuff the Duke, The Wooden Sky, Rawlins Cross, Kevin Breit, Prairie Oyster, Dala and Danny Michel, Odd Years, Lowlands, Alanna Gurr and many more.

The festival was founded by Elora artist Marilyn Koop in 2009. Koop passed away in 2012 and the festival continues in her memory.
