Get ready for a full weekend of music, arts, food and culture! Riverfest Elora 2016 will be held in Bissell Park on Friday, August 19, Saturday, August 20 and Sunday, August 21.
The festival, held along the banks of the Grand River, has come a long way since its humble beginnings as a backyard festival just eight years ago. Riverfest Elora returns this year for festival number eight with a third day and a full out third stage. This means more food trucks, more arts and craft vendors, more community and of course, more music! Three-day weekend passes and single day tickets are available here. Riverfest Elora is the town’s annual celebration of community and music. Ice Jam, Riverfest Elora’s winter music festival, will return to Elora for its fourth installment in March 2017. Over the years, Riverfest Elora has brought an impressive array of musicians to the small town. Past artists include Metric, Blue Rodeo, Serena Rider, Sam Roberts Band, Charles Bradley, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Bruce Cockburn, The New Pornographers, Shakey Graves, Bahamas, Elliott Brood, Young Galaxy, Tokyo Police Club, Ashley MacIsaac, Born Ruffians, Rich Aucoin, Alan Doyle, Cuff the Duke, Shad, The Wooden Sky, Rawlins Cross, Kevin Breit, Prairie Oyster, Dala and Danny Michel, Odd Years, Lowlands, Alanna Gurr and many more. The festival was founded by Elora artist Marilyn Koop in 2009. Koop passed away in 2012 and the festival continues in her memory. Look for the giant green “M” canvas on the grounds throughout the festival. For the latest updates, become a fan of Riverfest on Facebook and Twitter.
