SATURDAY, AUGUST 20 • 7:00PM • BOARDWALK TENT
Fifth times a karaoke charm ... the Boo boys are back yet again.
Have you ever wanted to belt out your favourite karaoke tunes backed by the funkiest band in all of Wellington County? Well, The Boo Radley Project is about to make your dreams come true (and yes, that might be a song on the karaoke list).
The eight piece genre-bending collective has learned a heck load of excellent karaoke tunes but hasn’t bothered to learn the lyrics. That’s cause you’ll be stepping in as lead singer for the band and will sing it out, karaoke-style (except there is actually people playing and not that cheesy instrumental track).
Boo’s repertoire includes everyone from Billy Idol and Rage Against the Machine to Annie Lennox and Smash Mouth … so you best get warming up your pipes. We’ll provide the lyrics … all you’ll have to do is sing-along! If you’ve got requests … post ’em right here, on Boo’s Facebook page.
The band will perform KARAOKE LIVE! on the Saturday of the Riverfest weekend:
- Saturday, August 20, 7:00 p.m.
You can sign up in advance by visiting The Pavilion anytime during the Saturday of the Riverfest weekend … you’ll be able to pick from the list of all of the karaoke songs that Boo can possibly do and add your name to the list.
Don't miss their Sunday show in the Koop Tent either, where they will perform their originals.
Who are Boo?
Hailing from Elora/Guelph ON, The Boo Radley Project is an eight piece (and sometimes larger depending on who is in town) genre-bending collective that fuses funk, indie, jazz and literary prowess. They've been likened to everyone from Tower of Power and Mr. Bungle to Primus and Wilco. But really, they're just Boo, a ragtag group of brothers serving up a quirky, fresh approach to music.
