WYWH COVID PROTOCOL

COVID-19 POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

***Keep checking back as this is all subject to change!

Does WYWH require attendees to wear masks?

Masks are required for all attendees. Masks must be worn whenever moving about the event grounds, but can be removed while in your seating area (box).

  • Eating and drinking is allowed only in your seating area. Eating and drinking is prohibited while walking or in all other areas.
  • Face coverings must fully cover the nose and mouth
  • Costume masks are prohibited

***If a face covering will cause an impairment or is not medically possible due to an existing health condition, please notify COVIDFAQ@riverfestelora.com prior to attending the event.  Arrangements MUST be made at least 72 hours prior to the event. Entry will be denied if advance notice is not provided.  Exemptions will be assessed on a case by case basis and require documentation from a medical professional.

Covid-19 Pre-Screen at the Gate upon arrival:

Each patron is required to have a temperature check and to complete a Covid-19 screening prior to entering the event grounds.  You may be refused entry, without refund if you are symptomatic or fail to pass the screening.

Do I need to show proof of vaccination or be fully vaccinated to attend?

While vaccinations are strongly encouraged, you will not be required to show proof of vaccination. Masking and physical distancing on-site MUST be followed.  Please do your part to ensure the safety of not only yourself, but others as well. Vaccinations save lives.

I Have my Covid - 19 vaccination - Do I still have to wear a mask?

Yes.

I have a mask exemption, can I still come?

Exemptions are accepted on a discretionary basis. If a face covering will cause an impairment or is not medically possible due to an existing health condition, please notify COVIDFAQ@riverfestelora.com prior to attending the event. Arrangements MUST be made at least 72 hours prior to the event. Entry will be denied, without refund, if advance notice is not provided.  Exemptions will be assessed on a case by case basis and require documentation from a medical professional.

BARS, FOOD & WASHROOMS

Concert boxes will be arranged in colour coordinated sections.  Each section will have it’s own bar and washrooms.  Patrons will be required to only use the services within their section.

Failure to follow any of these guidelines could result in your removal from the event without refund.

Beverages:

WYWH is a bottled/packaged water free and waste conscious event.

  • A water bottle refill station will be available so please bring your refillable water vessel.
  • No outside drink will be permitted.
  • Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at your section’s bar.
  • All alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be sold in cans only.

Food

  • We encourage you to please bring your own food! Grab a picnic basket, bring your cooler, or a sandwich! Call one of the many excellent local restaurants for takeout (plan ahead if you hope to enjoy some local fare!).  Again, outside beverages are not permitted.
  • There will be no food vendors at WYWH: in an effort to reduce lineups where it becomes difficult to maintain social distancing, we will only be offering light snacks for purchase at the bars within your section.

  • GETTING TO THE EVENT

We encourage you to walk or bike to the festival! Parking is available on the side streets surrounding The Elora Centre For The Arts and in downtown Elora. WYWH’s additional parking can be found at the Grand River Raceway.

Are there shuttles to the event this year?
No. As this event is much smaller than Riverfest Elora is, we will not be offering shuttles.

I’m planning on biking to the festival. Will there be a place for me to park my bike at the fest?
Yes! We will have a bike lockup just inside the main entrance to the event!  However, it is first come, first serve. You are also welcome to lock your bike to the perimeter fence during the event. Don't forget your bike lock, helmet and light (if you are biking home at night)!  Please be respectful of foot traffic when biking in and out of the event grounds.

I’m driving to WYWH.  Can I park on the event grounds?
THERE IS NO PARKING ON SITE. On-site drop off will only be available near the front entrance off of Melville St. for those with disabilities on a first come, first serve basis.

Is there wheelchair accessible parking available?
There is accessible parking at the Elora Centre for the Arts and directly in front of the main entrance to the event on Melville St. You must have proper documentation and space is limited.   If you require further assistance, please contact spencer@riverfestelora.com and he will be happy to assist. If you wish to phone to make specific arrangements, please contact Spencer by calling the Elora Centre for the Arts and leaving a message for him. He will call you back promptly.

    Other important stuff…

Can I bring my pet to the festival?
    Only service dogs are permitted.

What am I going to sit on?
Bring your own camping chairs, blankets or towels! Keep in mind that each box is 6’ x 6’ so space is slightly limited!

    Can I smoke at WYWH?

No thanks! WYWH will be a smoke free environment. Please, if you must smoke, take a walk outside of the festival grounds.

    Should I bring cash?
No thanks! As we are still presently in a pandemic, we will not be handling any cash at WYWH. In other words, WYWH is a cashless event. We will be accepting debit and credit cards only!

Now that it's legal, can I bring my cannabis?
While we are a smoke free environment, patrons are allowed to bring a small amount into the event. Large quantities will not be permitted.  We ask that all patrons please be considerate of your surroundings as this is a family event and go for a walk outside of festival grounds if you are going to smoke.
