SETTLERS CREEK BAND
GRASSLANDS • SUNDAY, AUGUST 17 • 2:50PM
Hailing from the heart of Wellington County, Settlers Creek Band is putting Canadian country music on the map with their signature sound, authentic storytelling, and undeniable drive. Blending small-town roots with national ambition, this independent group is gaining traction across Canada—and turning heads worldwide.
Led by powerhouse vocalist Lucas Rogerson, Settlers Creek Band made waves with their debut album Line in the Dirt, a self-written collection that delivered two standout singles—“Wanna Go” and “This Town”—both embraced by over 60 country radio stations nationwide. Without label backing, they still became the most downloaded independent artist in North America during the week of October 24 on Digital Media Download Services.
Their momentum skyrocketed as they hit major festival stages, sharing the spotlight with country heavyweights like Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, Johnny Reid, and Dean Brody. Winning the 820 CHAM House Band Contest gave them the chance to perform at intimate events and high-profile Canadian Country Music Week celebrations, including a fan-packed performance at Jackson Square in Hamilton.
In 2025, Settlers Creek Band took their talent to a new level as one of just 16 acts selected from over 800 applicants to compete on From Far and Wide—a grassroots, Idol-style online music competition judged by industry pros from Universal Music, Distort Records, and acclaimed producers. As the only country band in the lineup, they stood out for their originality, musicianship, and raw, radio-ready sound.
Encouraged by producer Sean Gugula, who co-produced their debut record, and driven by a passion for great songs and real performances, Settlers Creek Band continues to raise the bar. With new music in the works, national exposure on the rise, and a fanbase growing from coast to coast, this is one country band carving their own trail—and inviting the world to follow.
Follow the journey. Feel the music. Join the movement.
