The J-Strokes are five veteran Guelph music community guys: Mike Sharp (guitar, vox), Brad Holy (drums, vox), Doug Roach (guitar, vox), Don Kudo (bass, vox) and guest Aaron Duncan (keys, sax, vox). The J’s just released a seven-song album to add to their collective boatload of recordings with various bands and solo projects. Featuring songs written individually, mutually developed and arranged, the album tacks in several directions but remains straight and true to The J-Strokes alt-rock pop with bluesy soul grooves to steer you in the direction of the dance floor.
